Austrian company RARE has introduced the first digital clutch designed specifically for the Stark VARG electric off-road motorcycle. The new system aims to give riders more precise control, improved safety, and a riding experience closer to that of traditional combustion bikes.
Instead of relying only on wrist movements for throttle control, the RARE Clutch allows riders to manage power with their left index finger. This can make a big difference in technical terrain, motocross starts, and steep climbs by delivering power exactly when it’s needed.
Key features include:
-
More precise power delivery – Control power release with a finger instead of a full throttle twist.
-
Adjustable response – Customize settings for enduro, motocross, wet, or dry conditions via smartphone.
-
Built-in traction control effect – Smoother throttle response helps prevent wheelspin on rocks and roots.
-
Auditory feedback – A sound signal indicates throttle level when the clutch is pulled, similar to engine RPM on gas bikes.
-
Plug-and-play installation – No wiring cuts or complex setup; simply mount, connect, and ride.
-
Durable construction – CNC-milled 7075 aluminum, maintenance-free, and designed for harsh conditions.
Beyond performance, the RARE Clutch also works as a safety feature. It can help control speed on downhills or prevent the bike from flipping during steep hill climbs.
The first production run is limited to 200 units and is available for preorder now.
