The people who follow Enduro Channel on Instagram (@endurochannel) would specifically know that I encounter a lot of flat tires. It wouldn’t be difficult to understand that this situation can ruin a race or even a fun day with friends.

1- ULTRA HEAVY TUBE:
This isn’t a process that works %100 all the time but it lowers your chance of getting a flat tire a lot! Even when you’re in very difficult conditions I can say that with the right amount of air pressure it’ll work perfectly. This still doesn’t give you a guarantee that you won’t get a flat tire because the more you use this tube the more risks you have. There might be a few hard spots on the inner tub, there might be a few minor cracks or a few bitt spots that may be ready to give up on you. The people who don’t want to take any chances it’ll be healthy to change the inner tube every time you change your tires even if you’re using ultra heavy tube. I know that this is an expensive process so I advise you to do a quick check on the tube and look to see if you can find a few spots that may create problems if you don’t, you can use it again. Watch Out! At this point everything is up to your faith!
2- MOUSSE:
The best friend of Extreme Enduro and Hard Enduro racers. The only thing that will make you forget what a flat tire is. It has it’s difficulties but it’s necessary for Extreme and hard enduro. Almost all the pro’s around the world prefer mousse. For a company that has millions of dollars and a race team and also for a rider the worst thing that can happen to you during a race is a flat tire. This is a sport where everything is decided by milliseconds and to have a flat tire during this race would be unbearable. The risk is just too big…
While the pros are very important there are some cons too:
- İf you’re always riding on a difference surface as a hobby rider you probably won’t have the opportunity to adjust your tire pressure to the surface. İf you’re a real hobby rider you wouldn’t spend time adjusting tire pressure even if you’re using inner tube. You don’t have anything to worry about:))
- When you buy your Mousse there will be some kind of cream there. It’s vital that you use that cream because it stops the tire from heating up while you’re riding and it will longer your tires life and it will prevent it from being torn apart. You shouldn’t think of Mousse like a regular inner tire. You shouldn’t use it until you get a flat. You should take out your tire time to time and check the cream within the tire and if there is a lack of cream which escaped with the momentum you should put the cream on again.
- It’s more expensive when compared to inner tires.
3- TUbliss: After our viewers saw the flat tires that we posted they shared their opinions and experiences with us. We learn a lot of things from them Which is something we really enjoy. A few people mentioned and advised TUbliss. This is a product that I ran into in some shops. I didn’t have the opportunity the check it out in detail. After all the suggestions I decided to search some pictures and videos about it. The technology and the idea seems very interesting. Also the solution it brings is very exciting. You can get a flat tire but you don’t have to stop. In the race that I participated in I eagerly took 3 Endure test laps with my flat tire but in the race that was 4 laps I didn’t have the energy or the back wheel to complete the final lap.
I think TUbliss may be the only product without any cons.
TUbliss replaces conventional inner tubes with a small red 100 psi insert that creates two different pressure zones inside the tire itself. This enables an incredible 100 PSI of rim protection, increased tire stability and eliminates pinch flats. In turn, this allows you to run very low tire pressure for massive gains in traction and a much plusher ride.
I didn’t have the opportunity to try this out on my own bike but I all as soon as possible. I will get it, try it out and review it for you in the shortest amount of time. Also if you want to talk about the pros and cons about TUbliss or anything else you can use the comment section down below.
