Hard Enduro World Championship heads to Aguilar de Campoo, Spain, this weekend (September 20–21) for the fourth round of the 2025 season — the 24MX Hixpania Hard Enduro.
Now in its ninth edition, Hixpania is the longest-running stop on the series calendar and the only one held on Spanish soil, about an hour south of Santander.
What to Expect
-
More than 160 riders from 22 nations will take part in two categories: Caballeros (Pro) and Hixpanos (amateurs). Forecasted rain could make the weekend even more unpredictable.
-
All eyes will be on Billy Bolt and Manuel Lettenbichler after their fierce battle at Abestone two weeks ago. Bolt, last year’s Hixpania winner, arrives with momentum, while Lettenbichler is hungry to bounce back and keep his championship campaign strong.
-
Mitch Brightmore and Mario Roman will also aim to challenge the leading duo. Brightmore took a solid third place in Italy, while Roman will want a strong result in front of his home crowd after bad luck in round three.
Looking Back: Hixpania 2024
In 2024, Billy Bolt delivered a dominant ride to claim the Hixpania sword trophy, while Manuel Lettenbichler secured his third consecutive Hard Enduro World Championship title despite a heavy crash mid-race. The event drew more than 10,000 spectators, who packed the final hillclimb to cheer the riders.
