2024 Red Bull Tennessee Knockout Full Race Recap
The action kicked off on Thursday, August 22, in downtown Nashville with the Red Bull TKO Prologue. Sherco’s Cody Webb stole the show, outdueling Husqvarna’s Colton Haaker in a thrilling three-race head-to-head battle on a man-made straight rhythm course. Webb’s victory set the tone for the exciting weekend ahead.
On Friday, nearly 500 amateur riders took on a Hot Lap qualifying round to secure their starting positions for Saturday’s races. The next day featured two rounds of amateur racing, with the second round deciding the AMA Grand Championship for Extreme Enduro. Tennessee’s own Chase Landers emerged as the overall winner of the second race, earning his spot among the top 31 amateur riders who would compete alongside the world’s best Hard Enduro pros on Sunday. Indiana’s Rachael Gutish also made her mark, winning the women’s pro race held during the second round.
In the afternoon, the pro riders competed in a Hot Lap to determine their starting positions for Sunday’s first Knockout race.
Sunday was the grand finale. It featured three rounds of grueling racing for the top 66 riders who qualified, along with the top twenty Electric Cycle Rider eMoto (electric motorcycle) racers from Saturday’s qualifying race. The first round was an elimination race for the pro riders and the AMA Grand Championship race for the eMoto competitors.
In the second round, another Knockout race whittled down the field to the top twenty riders who would advance to the final showdown. Red Bull KTM’s Manuel Lettenbichler emerged victorious in the final race after an epic battle with FMF KTM’s Trystan Hart. Wade Young finished third on a GasGas, Teodor Kabakchiev took fourth on a Sherco, and Ashton Brightmore rounded out the top five on a Husqvarna. The event truly had an international flair, with seven different countries represented in the top ten of the pro class.
