A major step towards the 99th edition of the FIM International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE) was taken on June 26 with a detailed press conference held at the Palazzo Lombardia in Milan – the headquarters of the Lombardy Region.
From course planning to media coverage and sustainability goals, every aspect of 6DAYS® Italia 2025 was discussed in front of media representatives, regional authorities, and enduro community leaders. Here’s a look at what’s coming to Bergamo this August.
Overwhelming Support from the Region
Federica Picchi, Undersecretary for Sport and Youth, emphasized the region’s commitment to the event, highlighting the expected scale: over 700 athletes, 33 nations, and more than 200,000 spectators. She expressed gratitude to the volunteers and praised the unity between institutions and the motorcycle community.
Paolo Franco, Regional Minister for Housing, reinforced that this is more than just a race—it’s a way to promote Bergamo as a destination, “a postcard to the world,” showing the region’s determination and passion.
FIM and FMI Ready to Deliver
Fabio Muner, FIM’s Director of Marketing and Digital, noted the historical significance of this edition. “This is the first championship in history to reach such a number of editions,” he said. The paddock will be placed at Fiera di Bergamo, and over 130 accredited media representatives are expected.
Pedro Mariano, FIM Race Director, confirmed that 33 nations from six continents will participate. Italy will be among the top favorites, alongside France, the U.S., Spain, and Australia. Sweden, last year’s Junior Trophy winner, is also expected to contend for the World Trophy.
Local Passion in Action
Motoclub Bergamo has been working non-stop for months. President Giuliano Piccinini recalled the early stages of preparation: “Only eight months ago it was just a dream.” The race will cover 1,300 kilometers, moving from Val Cavallina and Val Calepio to Val Seriana in the later stages.
Paolo Buratti from FMI added that organizing a course suitable for both amateurs and professionals has been the most challenging task, requiring passion and precision.
Paddock Manager Valter Andreoli expects around 30,000 overnight stays, showcasing the event’s strong economic impact on the region.
