Fifth round of the 2025 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship in Budapest, Hungary, delivered some of the most exciting racing of the season. Billy Bolt put on a dominant performance to take the win, with Jonny Walker and Ash Brightmore completing the podium.

Qualifying and Superpole: Unexpected Results

The first surprise of the night came during the qualifying session. Usually the fastest rider, Billy Bolt only managed to finish fourth. Ashton Brightmore set the early pace, but in the final moments, Jonny Walker put in the fastest lap, edging out Bolt by just two-tenths of a second.

Superpole saw another challenge as the track had been watered, changing the grip conditions. Jonny Walker adapted the best, securing his second consecutive Superpole win and earning three extra points for Triumph.

Race 1: Bolt Leads from Start to Finish

Mitch Brightmore was pushed wide at the start, losing positions, while Billy Bolt took the holeshot and immediately built a lead. Ash Brightmore quickly put pressure on Walker for second place, while Toby Martyn had his best race of the season in fourth before a big crash on one of the largest jumps.

There were some controversial marshal decisions, as multiple riders jumped under yellow flags. Both Bolt and Walker received a 10-second penalty, but it didn’t change the outcome. Bolt took the win, Walker finished second, and Ash Brightmore secured third place.

Race 2: Walker and Triumph Take Their First Win

Will Hoare got the early lead, but Walker quickly closed in. Bolt was slowed down in the rock section, falling behind.

Jonny Walker overtook Hoare and held off Bolt’s charge to take his and Triumph’s first win of the season.

Race 3: Bolt’s Dominance

In the final race, Walker crashed in the first turn while Bolt grabbed the early lead. Both Brightmore brothers slotted into second and third—Mitch ahead of Ash—while Eddie Karlsson and Dominik Olszowy battled for fourth.

Bolt remained flawless despite early pressure from the Brightmores. Walker fought back from last place to finish third, securing second overall for the night. Ash Brightmore claimed another podium, finishing ahead of his brother Mitch in the overall standings.

European SuperEnduro Championship

The European Championship concluded in Budapest. Home favorite Norbert Zsigovits won the first race, but young German Fynn Hannemann took victory in race two, securing the 2025 title.
