Wade Young Secures Victory on Day One
Starting fifth, Wade Young displayed exceptional skill and determination, setting consistently fast sector times. The South African rider’s performance allowed him to complete the course first on corrected time, securing victory for Offroad Day One and establishing a lead of over five minutes in the overall standings.
Strong Performances from Kabakchiev and Walkner
Sherco Factory Racing’s Teodor Kabakchiev, who led the Pro class field at the start, encountered some late tyre issues but still managed to finish third for the day. Austrian rider Michael Walkner took advantage of his later start, navigating the pre-laid tracks to finish in a strong second place, just 15 seconds ahead of Kabakchiev in the overall classification.
Mixed Results for Other Contenders
Mario Roman of Sherco had a challenging day, posting strong sector times but ultimately finishing fourth overall, 12 minutes behind Young. The Czech Republic’s David Cyprian delivered one of the day’s standout performances, tackling the toughest sections to finish fifth.
Rigo Racing’s Matthew Green ended the day in sixth place, followed by AKRAPOVIC Prologue qualification winner Mitch Brightmore in seventh. Brightmore, who leads the FIM Hard Enduro Junior World Championship supported by KLIM, holds a six-minute lead over KTM’s Suff Sella, with Ashton Brightmore in third.
