The legendary hard enduro track of Grinding Stone is renowned for its adrenaline-filled sandstone rock formations. In addition to these breathtaking vistas and challenging hill climbs, it is fraught with obstacles that leave riders teetering between success and failure. However, this demanding course allows brave riders to push their limits and undergo a true test of skill.
The town of Page in Northern Arizona is typically hot and dry, but the intense rains on Friday during the 2024 Grinding Stone event saturated the track, setting up ideal conditions for Saturday morning’s qualifying race.
Despite the need to remark the track due to rain and mixed weather conditions on Sunday, the morning race became even more challenging for the riders. Throughout the two-hour main event, riders navigated the course skillfully, but the harsh natural conditions posed challenges for many competitors. Names like Cody Webb, Trystan Hart, Will Riordan, Ryder Leblond, Cooper Abbott, and Colton Haaker battled it out for leadership on the grueling track.
Filled with twisted bars and steep rock climbs, the course offered riders an exhilarating experience while demanding courage and skill. Following his victory, Cody Webb expressed pride in delivering a successful performance despite the challenging conditions, speaking on behalf of the team.
Defending champion Trystan Hart displayed a strong performance over the weekend races, but incurred damages to his bike following a crash. Despite this setback, Hart once again showcased his talent with determination and perseverance, achieving a successful outcome.
