2024 X-Trial World Championship concluded this weekend at the Navarra Arena in Pamplona, and Repsol Honda rider Toni Bou wrapped up the season with a win, marking his 100th career podium in indoor competition. His teammate, Gabriel Marcelli, secured third place in the overall standings.
Toni Bou, a 36-time World Champion, delivered a stellar performance to claim his sixth victory of the season. He dominated the first round aboard his Montesa Cota 4RT, advanced to the final round as the top rider, and secured the win with just 5 penalty points. It was the perfect way to finish an almost flawless season, showing once again why he’s a legend in the sport.
Gabriel Marcelli faced some challenges at the start of the event, accumulating 15 penalty points in the first round and placing sixth. In the second round, he showed his skill with a flawless lap, but it wasn’t enough to qualify for the final. Despite this, Marcelli ends the year on a high note, matching last season’s overall result with six podium finishes.
With the 2024 season now complete, fans won’t have to wait long for more action. The 2025 campaign kicks off on December 21st in Madrid, and the riders are already gearing up for new challenges.
Toni Bou shared his thoughts: “I’m very happy with how the season ended. I felt really comfortable on the bike. After the result in Estonia, our goal was to get back on top, and we did it. It’s been an almost perfect year, and I’m grateful to the team for their incredible work. The 2025 season starts in December, and we’re already focused on fighting for the title. As always, we’re ready to give it our all.”
