Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team is set to take on the 2025 Dakar Rally with three skilled riders: Kevin Benavides, Luciano Benavides, and Daniel Sanders. After months of testing and training, the team is prepared to compete in the RallyGP class at the world’s toughest rally. Starting on January 3, the race begins with a short prologue, followed by 12 stages covering nearly 8,000 kilometers across Saudi Arabia.
Kevin Benavides:
Two-time Dakar champion Kevin Benavides is back and focused on winning again. After a challenging 2024 season with injuries, Kevin has been training hard and feels confident about competing for his third Dakar victory.
Kevin: “I’ve worked hard on my recovery and training, and now I’m feeling strong. I’ll take it day by day, give my best, and see what happens. I’m excited to race with this amazing team!”
Luciano Benavides:
Luciano Benavides, the 2023 FIM Rally-Raid World Champion, is eager to start Dakar. After recovering from a leg injury, he has been training in deserts across Argentina, Chile, and the U.S. to prepare for the challenge.
Luciano: “My main goal is to start Dakar at 100% fitness. I know it’s a long race, and we need to stay focused every day. I’ve put in a lot of hard work, and I’m ready to compete!”
Daniel Sanders:
After his victory at the Rally du Maroc, Daniel Sanders is full of confidence heading into Dakar. With previous Dakar stage wins under his belt, he is determined to achieve a top result in Saudi Arabia this year.
Daniel: “The team and I have done a lot of training, and the bike feels great. I’m ready to push hard and aim for the podium. The first week will be tough, but I’m excited for the challenge!”
About the 2025 Dakar Rally
2025 Dakar Rally will take place in the Middle East for the sixth year in a row. Starting in Bisha on January 3, riders will race through 12 stages, covering nearly 8,000 kilometers, with 5,000 kilometers being timed. New for this year is the intense 48-hour chrono stage on days two and three, followed immediately by a marathon stage. The race will finish in Shubaytah on January 17.
