What is Red Bull Erzbergrodeo?
Taking place on an ancient iron mine carved out of the Erzberg mountain, the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo is one of the toughest motorcycle races in the world. Approximately 1400 riders line up in ranks of 50 around the lake at the base of the mountain and race through 23 checkpoints with just four hours to reach the finish. Most will spend their afternoon battling the rocks of the Iron Giant, with only a handful making it to the finish line.

In 2023, Canada’s Trystan Hart got off to a flying start, quickly taking the lead. Defending champion Mani Lettenbichler from Germany was right on his tail. Billy Bolt from the UK had a fast start but crashed, bending his front fork and making the race even more challenging. Despite this, Bolt made a remarkable comeback, eventually overtaking Mani. However, he began to tire, and Mani took the lead again, securing the win. Hart finished in third place.
