Enduro Channel’s Take: 2025 KTM 125 and 390 Enduro R Models!

2025 KTM 125 and 390 Enduro R models are finally here, bringing exciting updates to the Enduro world. Designed to perform both in the city and on rugged off-road trails, these bikes offer plenty of features to get excited about. But like any bike, they have their pros and cons. Here’s our honest review of KTM’s latest dual-sport machines.

Good Stuff:

  • Versatile Performance: Both models are built for a mix of city and off-road use. The 21” front and 18” rear wheels, long suspension travel, and adjustable settings (on the 390) make them suitable for various terrains.
  • Fresh Design: KTM stays true to its iconic style with a sleeker profile and durable in-mold graphics. The bikes look sharp and are designed to take a beating.
  • Improved Engine and Frame: The lightweight LC4c engine delivers solid performance with better fuel efficiency. The steel trellis frame provides better balance and stability for all kinds of riding conditions.
  • Eco-Friendly Upgrade: The Euro 5.2-compliant engine is cleaner and more efficient, making it a more sustainable option for the future.

Downsides:

  • Weight of the 390: At 159 kg (without fuel), the 390 Enduro R might feel a bit heavy for riders looking for something more lightweight.
  • Limited Adjustability: The 125’s front suspension lacks adjustability, which could be a drawback for those who want a more personalized setup.
  • Fuel Tank Size: With a 2.37-gallon (9-liter) tank, long-distance riders might find the range a bit limiting.

2025 KTM 125 and 390 Enduro R models truly show KTM’s dedication to creating bikes that can do it all. Whether you’re cruising through city streets or tackling tough off-road trails, these bikes are ready for the challenge. They’re a solid choice for both beginners looking for their first Enduro experience and seasoned riders wanting a reliable companion.

Of course, things like weight and suspension adjustability might make a difference depending on your riding style, so it’s worth considering what suits you best.
