The Ironman GNCC, one of the most popular races on the circuit, will take place at Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana, from October 25, 2024, to October 28, 2024.

Race Information

The Ironman GNCC track is a favorite among many riders. Although the land is generally flat, the course runs near riverbanks, providing plenty of elevation changes. The hills here are some of the steepest on the circuit. In case of rain, the hills become the toughest part as the course will be routed around the creeks. If it doesn’t rain, riders will navigate through rocky creeks, so be careful not to cut a tire. The race takes place in October, so it can get cold, making it important to stay dry.

Outside of the woods, the course runs across harvested cornfields where riders can reach top speeds. The track includes tight trails, technical hill climbs, gullies, rock sections, and creeks, all on great dirt. It is a true test of a cross-country racer’s all-around skills.

The Ironman event is named after the late GNCC ATV Champion Bob “Ironman” Sloan, who hailed from Indiana and dreamed for many years of seeing a GNCC event in his home state. Bob passed away in 1994, but his legacy lives on through this iconic race. Godspeed, Bob.
